Who
we are
We work with law firms, chambers, regulators, professional bodies & legal education providers to offer unique training & bespoke support. We also offer specialist witness & client support.
Our focus is on embedding trauma-informed principles into legal practice in ways that are practical, sustainable and commercially intelligent. We collaborate to strengthen professional practice, fostering legal spaces where psychological and physiological safety are prioritised.
Our tailored support is available on both a one-off and ongoing basis.
Our unique perspective
At Trauma Informed Law, we believe that adopting a trauma-informed approach is vital for maintaining the integrity of our legal system. We are addressing what has been previously overlooked: the impact of trauma and distress within the specific dynamics of the legal sector.
Our Unique Perspective With over 35 years of legal experience and 20+ years in trauma and distress management, our science-based, somatic approach prioritises safety and integrity.
Supported by a highly skilled team, including experienced psychotherapists and a neuroscientist, we provide comprehensive and effective support.
We are pleased to share our ongoing work together to strengthen trauma-informed practice within the BSB’s Regulatory and Enforcement Department.
The team has completed training across all three core training modules of trauma-informed practice and is now taking steps to embed this learning through ongoing support and reflection, recognising that this is an evolving practice.
In enforcement and regulatory contexts, trauma-informed practice supports clearer decision-making, fairer processes and sustainable professional judgment. It also plays a crucial role in building trust and confidence for those coming forward to report allegations, as well as for those responding to them.
We look forward to continuing this work together.

“Camilla and Rebecca are obviously expert in their subject and communicate the science and concepts in a clear and interesting way.
But what sets them apart is their extensive legal experience. They know, at first hand, the difficulties that vicarious trauma can pose to barristers, both personally and in their practice.
This allows them to connect directly with, and gain the trust of, the barristers at their sessions so that they feel able to engage in the training in a full and open way.”
